EVENT INFORMATION
VENUE: Following the success in 2008, the 3rd annual 3 Counties Challenge for 2009 will be held Sunday 5th July, at the New Venue of Dallam School, Milnthorpe, Cumbria LA7 7DD Grid Ref: SD 500 817
ROUTES:There will be 2 sportives of 120 miles and 60 miles, plus a family event of 25 miles. (all mileage approx)
PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE A CUT OFF POINT AT THE SOULBY CHECKPOINT. ANY RIDER ON THE 120 MILE ROUTE WHO ARRIVES AFTER 1.00 PM WILL BE SENT BACK TO THE FINISH ON A SHORTER ESCAPE ROUTE.
NOTE: Maps will be issued to all riders at the start. Late entries must be aware that the number of maps available will be based on the number of entries one week before the event. By entering late you may not necessarily receive a map.
IN AID OF: All proceeds raised through the event, either entry fees and/or sponsorship will be donated to The Great North Air Ambulance, Rotary Charities and a Young Athletes Fund with the purpose of providing funding for promising youngsters in their chosen sport. If you wish you can also raise money for your own charity of choice. Dallam School have generously allowed us free use of their facilities and this has allowed us to reduce entry fees this year.
ENTRIES: 120 mile £25 per rider 60 mile £20 per rider 25 mile £5 per rider
FOOD STATIONS: There will be food stations and timing checkpoints on both the 120 and 60 mile routes.
